Okay, I'm back...Yes, I'm okay

Two days after the storm and I'm going to say we (my fam and I) got pretty lucky. There was a lot of damage in our neighborhood.  Two large trees down on either ends of my street, including one that almost took the pavement up with it. The people behind us had a tree come through their house. The shore was totaled. Completely. It looks like Katrina. It's very sad, but if there is anything good that's come out of this it's the way our local politicians have been handling the disaster relief.  They've been really working together and with the President to make sure things are getting cleaned up and taken care of. Hurricane Sandy

The storm hasn't made land yet, but already there's been some major damage done. Not where I live, in fact, where I live it's pretty mild, but along the shore areas. I honestly didn't think it would turn like it did. I don't have much faith in our weathermen and their monitors..lol, so when I saw last night that it was going the opposite direction from the coast, I thought, "there's no way that thing's gonna turn inward." But I was wrong. Haha....and, like I said, they're expecting major power outages, so I may not be on here again for the next couple of days...or weeks. XD

Might not be on in the next couple of days...

Seriously, because of Frankenstorm. State of Emergency declared, with possible power outages for 7 to 10 days...or more. I'm already behind on my messages. I need to catch up but there's so many of them. I'm seriously contemplating turning off all but five or six of the groups that I watch because every time I turn around my deviation messages seem to grow exponentially when it comes to new stuff and I can't get through it all in one day...sigh. Anyways, if any of my watchers are on the East Coast, take care. This thing coming looks nasty. And hopefully, no power outages...or anything worse.
